Shipping
Where do you deliver to?
I deliver my paintings to most countries.
Orders placed outside the UK, and large UK orders, will require a bespoke insurance and shipping quote and I will be in touch via email to inform you of the cost, which will be additional to the purchase price of the artwork.
How much does UK delivery cost?
Standard UK delivery charges are automatically applied at checkout as follows:
(a) Paintings valued at £200 or less will be insured and shipped at a standard rate of £25.00.
(b) Paintings valued between £201 and £500 will be insured and shipped at a standard rate of £55.00.
(c) Paintings valued between £501 and £1,000 will be insured and shipped at a standard rate of £75.00.
Paintings valued above £1001 will require a bespoke insurance and shipping quote.
I live locally, can I collect my painting?
Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment. However, if you live within a 25-mile radius of my studio I would be happy to personally deliver to your doorstep, free of charge, and observing social-distancing and face mask rules.
How do you ship paintings?
Great care is taken to package your painting. I use glassine paper to protect the painted surface, corner & edge guards as necessary, foam board, bubble wrap, and finally protective outer cardboard or corriboard. I try to use recycled materials where appropriate and some materials will be recyclable at your end and sometimes reusable. Packages are secured with strong tape, clearly addressed, and labeled FRAGILE.
Who do you use to ship your paintings?
I use either Royal Mail (UK), Parcel Force, DHL, UPS or another courier service. All courier companies are currently experiencing delays due to the covid-19 pandemic.
When will I receive my painting?
You will receive an email when your order is confirmed. Your painting will be packaged in the next 5 working days and shipped thereafter. Another email will confirm that your package has been handed to the courier and you will receive a tracking number that you can use to check its progress. Please allow 2 – 3 weeks after despatch for your order to arrive. I do my best but I cannot guarantee these delivery times.
NB: Because of the covid-19 pandemic, all freight is being delayed due to staff, transport, and airport restrictions. Your patience is greatly appreciated by all concerned.
When paintings are framed to order I rely on a third party to carry out the work and this will add a week to the fulfillment time, perhaps longer depending on how busy my frame suppliers are. I will keep you informed via email.
What happens if there are delivery problems?
Your package will be insured to the value of the painting. Before signing for your package, please inspect the outside for damage. If the package is damaged, please ensure the courier has formally recorded this information before you sign for it.
In the unlikely event that the contents are also damaged, photographic evidence will be required for insurance purposes.
If there is a problem with your order please contact me as soon as you can at orders@brianmccabestudio.com
If the courier is unable to deliver your products because of a fault of yours, I may arrange to redeliver the order. However, I reserve the right to charge you for the actual redelivery costs (even if the initial delivery was free of charge).
What is your Returns Policy?
UK clients are entitled to return a painting and receive a refund minus delivery costs if you follow this policy:
(1) I receive the painting within 21 days of the date of dispatch to you;
(2) the painting arrives back undamaged and unaltered in any way;
(3) you comply with the procedure set out in this policy in relation to the return of the product.
Unfortunately, I am not able to offer a Returns or Refund Policy for clients living outside of the UK.
What is your Returns Procedure for customers who qualify?
(1) you agree to notify me via the email address returns@brianmccabestudio.com within 7 days of receiving delivery, and before returning the painting, informing me that you wish to return the painting.
(2) you will be responsible for packing, insuring, and arranging return delivery using the same service by which it was sent to you and you will pay all costs associated with the return under this policy.
(3) on satisfactory receipt of the painting, I will refund the price you paid to me net of the original packaging, insurance, and delivery costs incurred.
What about customs fees, import duty, and taxes?
Please check the rules and regulations in your country before placing an order as buyers are liable for all customs fees, import duty, and taxes in their own country.
EU customers are advised to consult their government website to clarify new Brexit rules.
Returns are not accepted for unexpected charges.
