I’m an abstract painter interested in creating work that connects on more than merely a visual level. For me, painting is about colour, energy, movement and structure coming together to create something that is emotive and alive. My paintings develop from a kernel of something I have noticed and commit to memory, rather than starting with a pre-conceived idea. I let each painting develop naturally through the process of making, allowing the finished work to have its own presence and character.
