One of a group of paintings I made over the summer of 2018 called Exploded Reality. Once again exploring marks with energetic brush strokes and building complexity and ambiguity.

This was inspired by my laurel hedge.

In my work I am interested in spaciality and movement. From a purely internal vision I aim to emotionally engage the viewer in an immersive world of gestural and dynamic brush work.

My work is purely abstract and I use the year and day the work was finished to give the work a numeric identifier rather than a suggestive title.

The work is signed and titled on the reverse.

The edge is painted in a colour to match the painting.
